About the Office of Inclusive Services (OIS)

Students receiving services from the OIS:

  • Are working towards a Comprehensive Higher Education Certificate
  • Earn letter grades in their classes and have official transcripts
  • Take two traditional college classes in line with their career goals each semester
  • Take a course called College and Career with a curriculum designed to launch them into directing their own life
  • Live on campus
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Learn to pass their drivers permit
  • Work on and off campus
  • Attend campus activities, join clubs and participate in sports
  • Attend small groups to learn to problem solve and manage social situations
  • Meet in budget groups to learn to use banking apps and manage their money
  • Create a Capstone Project that advances their career goals
  • Work with staff to plan for a vibrant and successful life after college
